See our new hotel, luxurious for Rowan's 60th! birthday on March 15

So, we arrived in the middle of the night, were ferried by Mercedes Benz van (!) for free from the airport to what may well by our *favorite* hotel on our whole trip - The Rimping Village Hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand!

and our sentiments for days after arriving (!)

when you walk in, you see all the space and the wonderful big bed

and a *bathtub*  Wowie, said Shirl

and lots of storage

and last, a balcony, and there are not *too many* mosquitoes!

This is all the stuff we have on arrival in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Rowan checks the computer, and we think about settling in at a beautiful hotel called Rimping Village, with a beautiful TV that has an HDMI cable input.  For non-tekkies, like Shirl, that means we can watch TV shows and movies in high definition on the hotel TV, rther than on our laptop.  Whoopee!

Art in Transit, Singapore

Happy Rowan just after getting his 60th birthday present!

in Singapore at Song Brothers with Chad (from Cebu, in the Philippines), who sold him his brand new *unlocked* cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note!  He has defected to Android (Oh, would Steve be sad), and he has named his new friend "Trixie."  And she is from the wrong side of the tracks...
